Pre-Procedure Instructions:

Two days prior to treatment, discontinue using all alpha hydroxyl acid products (those containing glycolic or lactic acid) salicylic acid products, retinoids (Retin A, Renova, Differin and Tazorac), and other topical acne medications such as benzoyl peroxide. If in doubt about using any product, please discontinue and discuss it with the doctor or skin care specialist at your appointment.

The following procedures should not be performed for a minimum of 7 days prior to your microdermabrasion session.

Post-Procedure Instructions:

Your skin needs a little TLC now that we have exfoliated the dead skin cell layer.

What to expect?

You will have a glow as if you have slight sunburn. Any redness should subside within a few hours to a day. You will notice your skin feels tighter and possible dryer, and may flake a little bit more which is normal.

Do not directly expose treated areas to the sun for at least 48 hours after treatment. Use sunscreen that preferably has zinc or titanium dioxide which should not irritate the skin.

Try to stay away from products containing color/fragrances, SD alcohol, lanolin, hydroquinones (skin tightening agents) as these are irritating ingredients that are in many cosmetic products such as cleansers and toners.

Body Wraps

What is a Body Wrap?
A Body Wrap process is a treatment to aid in taking off inches, changing body shape, size, contour, as well as tightening and toning the skin. It involves wrapping the body with elastic pliable type bandages which are saturated with our special Amino Acid, Herbal Extracts, and Collagen solution. The treatment is applied to the specific areas of concern, to aid with slimming and help to disperse the toxins which cause cellulite. You are frequently measured to determine your inch-loss.

During the weight-loss process, the skin will begin to feel smooth and tight. Collagen Body Wrap will help ensure that the inches and weight that are lost are in the areas of the first concern. Collagen wrapping, while losing weight, helps in rapid size drops for optimum weight-loss and utmost motivation .

The Body Wrap uses circulation and gentle pressure to flush out toxins and waste material which impair the body's circulation and elimination systems. When theses systems become impaired, toxins are stored at the cellular level through the circulatory system and lymphatic systems.

The Body Wrap removes waste materials from the system through internal detoxification of the body, creating a permanent inch loss of up to 14 inches, while improving general health, nourishing the skin, and contouring the soft areas of the body. The Wrap consists of 8 steps:

1. Consultation. Our therapist will help you determine your goals and will review any pertinent medical history.
2. Preparation. The client will come to the wrap appointment freshly bathed, without lotions or perfumes on the body. The legs should be shaved the night before the wrap, rather than the same day.
3. Measurement. The areas of the body where inch loss will occur are measured and marked to ensure accurate measurement after the wrap. Dimensions are recorded on a progress chart.
4. Wrap. Specialized ACE wrap is used to contour the body and create a capsule. The ACE wrap helps to hold body heat in, thus aiding in absorption of the cream.
5. Oasis. A Far infrared sauna therapy is delivered to the body through a distinct process known as conduction. Far infrared has shown to assist in weight loss, skin purification, detoxification and stress reduction. This process surrounds the body delivering heat to the problem areas by penetrating deeply speeding oxygen flow and increasing circulation causing the cream and wrap to begin to work. The client remains warm and comfortable throughout this process.
6. Remove and Re-Measure. The wrap is removed and the client is re-measured in the exactly the same places as before. Measurements are recorded and compared. Clients can see the results on paper as well in the mirror.
7. Complete the Treatment. The excess cream still on the skin is massaged in. Many clients report additional inch-loss following the wrap.
8. Exercise. To stimulate lymph movement and to maintain proper circulation in problem areas, we recommend exercising 4-5 times each week.

A series of 3 to 6 Body Wraps are recommended, with 4 to 7 days between each wrap. If a client is overweight and on a weight loss program, a wrap is suggested for each 5 to 10 pounds lost.

The wraps act upon all factors that cause body misshaping, including excess fluids, trapped waste, cellulite, and tissue weakness. In addition to inch and cellulite loss, other advantages include re-contouring, skin hydration and smoothing, the restoration of blood circulation, and detoxification, the cleansing of the body tissues for improved health.

Cellulite Reduction Therapy

Cellulite Therapy

Cellulite Therapy is a non-invasive technique for reducing the appearance of Cellulite often shows up as dimpling on the skin, sometimes called the cottage cheese look, even in those who are fit. The look of cellulite does not necessary diminish with weight and liposuction fails to address this top layer of fat under the skin. The therapeutic device involves stimulating the body’s surface and underlying tissue with deep, soothing motions thereby reducing the appearance of cellulite and defining your figure.

Our therapy uses a vibrator that often feels like deep tissue massage, over problem areas of the skin. At the same time, suction is used to redistribute the skin and remove dimpling. Those opting for cellulite therapy usually need about 14 to 28 30-minutes sessions to see results and must also have monthly treatments afterwards to maintain the smooth skin look.

Cellulite therapy technique is used for body contouring and skin conditioning. The cellulite therapy massage encourages circulation back into the cellulite areas, while also aiding in the release of fluid trapped in the body tissue. A body stocking is worn for each treatment. The sensation of cellulite therapy is likened to deep massage with most patients finding this a pleasant and relaxing experience. The strength of the treatment is tailored to the individual’s comfort level and areas of concern for the patient.

The treatment is 30 minutes, with an initial consultation. Prior to the first treatment the therapist will take your details and measurements for later comparison.

Following the Procedure
There are some important steps that you should take once you have commenced cellulite therapy treatment.

• First, it is important to maintain a healthy diet with a low intake of fatty foods.
• Second, aerobic exercise is important as this will also give better results.
• Third, you should drink at least 1.5 liters of water per day.

Risks and Complications
Some patients may not be suitable for cellulite therapy. These include people with high blood pressure or hypertension, some skin conditions, hernias, varicose veins and diabetes.

We recommend 3 weekly sessions for 4 weeks and then 2 weekly sessions for an 8 Week period. We also offer Body Wraps along with Far - Infrared Heating to help dissolve Cellulite. (see Body Wraps)
